Im Kate, a Kiwi mum who believes babywear should be as pure and natural as the love we have for our little ones. Frankie Raine was born from my desire to provide babies with the gentlest, safest clothes, made right here in New Zealand from ZQ Certified Merino Wool.

What makes Merino better than cotton for babies?

Merino wool is naturally temperature regulating, breathable, and soft on delicate skin. It keeps your baby warm when its cool, and cool when its warm - making it perfect for all seasons! Plus its odor-resistant and east to care for.

Is Merino wool itchy?

Not at all! We use only ZQ-certified Merino, which is superfine and silky soft - no scratchiness here. Its gentle even on the most sensitive or eczema prone skin.

How do I wash Frankie Raine Merino?

All of our pieces are machine washable on a gentle or wool cycle. I personally use a gentle wool specific detergent and a warm wash, to keep it looking its best and working harder for longer. Dry flat or on a clothes airer out of direct sunlight. Merino is naturally stain and odour-resistant, so you'll find you need to wash it less often!

Is your packaging eco-friendly?

Mostly! We use recyclable, minimal packaging and avoid plastic wherever possible. For now, we ship in a plastic mailer to keep your Merino safe from NZ's unpredictable weather - but we are actively sourcing a compostable option.

Do you offer returns or exchanges?

Absolutely! If something doesn't fit or isn't quite right, we offer a 14 day return policy on unworn items. Just get in touch and we'll sort it out.

How long will my order take to ship?

Because each piece is handmade to order, please allow up to 3 business days for us to carefully create your item before it ships.

Once its ready, we'll dispatch it wih tracked shipping:

  • NZ Orders: Usually arrive 1-2 business days after shipping.
  • You'll receive tracking details as soon as your order is on the way.
